Methods to prevent the phishing attack and spam in Facebook

Nowadays, lot of spammers targeting the major sites in internet especially Facebook. Hence, it is a mandatory and everyone’s
duty to protect the social networking account safely.
For the past few weeks, I have seen lot of spammy links which are given below. If the user click on it, automatically spread
to all of his friends in the network and really annoying!
Spammy apps:

2. See what you’ll look in the future!
3. Free Facebook T-shirt
4. Facewallpaper app
Solution:
Mark such links as “Report Spam” and mentioned them as SPAM in your profile and group status which will help others to make
aware of it.
Tips and steps to unlock the Facebook account:
On the other side, hackers aiming at the Facebook and other networks. Hence, the users must be aware of securing their
password details and other confidential info. It is advisable to use different passwords for social netoworking websites and
email providers to avoid phishing attack. Here below are the steps to unlock the facebook account if it is hacked.
Solution:
If your account doesn’t work even entered a correct password, just apply Forget password and enter the password code which
was sent to your registered email id. After that, proceed the following steps.
Step 1: Change Password
Step 2: Email password change
You must immediately change the passwords for all your email accounts. Do not use the same password as your Facebook account.
In order to ensure the security of your information, please change passwords for all email addresses that are associated with
your Facebook account.

It is always advisable to browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible. Look at your URL address, if you
see “http” instead of “https” you do not have a secure session and can be hacked.
Go to Account – Account Settings – Account Security – click Change. Check box “Secure browsing” and click Save.
